UMAMI dashi Vegetables
Deep flavored dashi with UMAMI and richness from 4 types of vegetables grown in Japan.
By combining sweet tasting onions from Awajishima and onions with great fragrance from Hokkaido, this vegetable dashi has a great balance. We recommend it for not only Japanese dishes but Western dishes as well.
“No chemical seasonings or preservatives added” This product draws on the natural umami flavors of its ingredients that have been brought out by scientific analysis as well as the skills and expertise of professionals developed over the course of many years without relying on the use of any chemical seasonings.
“No animal-based ingredients used and certified vegan” This product does not contain any animal-based ingredients and can be consumed with a peace of mind.
How to use
[Basic clear dashi]
Add the dashi pack to a pot with 500 ml of water and swirl the pack around using a pair of chopsticks around 5 times. Bring the liquid to a boil over medium heat and simmer for 5 minutes before removing the dashi pack. Since you can now extract the rich umami flavors of vegetables quickly and easily, you can shorten your cooking time by using this as a seasoning for soups and stews.
[Tearing the dashi pack before using it]
If you tear the dashi pack and add its contents directly to your dishes, you can give an extraordinary boost to the flavors of your dish. You can use the contents of this dashi pack as a topping for pasta or as seasoning for meat, fish, and other dishes whose flavors you wish to elevate.

It was a very nice and easy way to make a soup broth with that authentic flavor.
It's my first time using it. I also tried the other one. So far I am liking it and can't wait
to try out a few more.
I was recommended by a friend to try UMAMI dashi Vegetables (and the Bonito flavor but I'll try that soon) and I'm seriously impressed with the flavor I got with such little effort. It's as simple as brewing tea and just as fast, I just used tap water but the result was a surprisingly deep flavor and authentic clear broth viscosity. If I had to describe the flavor, it was not overly savory or Onion-y like you would get from American Instant Onion soup and instead it was that perfect 'simple' and I want to say slightly 'creamy' tasting for a clear broth.
Highly recommended, I don't think anyone would dislike this unless they didn't like the taste of Onion.
