A nice and convenient way to get that authentic flavor.
I used it for soup and added my own ingredients along with it.
I was recommended by a friend to try UMAMI dashi Bonito and Konbu kelp and having just yesterday trying their UMAMI dashi Vegetables I had high expectations.
The first thing I want to say is to those who might be timid about the flavor of Bonito, 'is it too fishy' or something. This broth is just so well balanced and in no way overbearing so I think its a very good introduction to Bonito flavor. If only I had some Udon to go with this it would be incredibly comforting to come home to this simple dish.
As quick and easy as brewing a cup of tea, I was able to make a very tasty Broth with simple tap water and a few minutes on medium heat.
This time I've included a picture. The instructions say 600ml water and 3 minutes from the point of boiling.
